Yes JayLo can act

Jennifer Lopez was pretty much an unknown before taking on this rôle of Selena, a Latino singer whose career came to a brutal halt after being murdered by a loyal fan from her fan club. Selena explores the joys and pitfalls of fame and how tragedy can quickly strike. It's almost ironic that Lopez went on to achieve the type of success that everyone had predicted for Selena!

I could watch it 100 times

Hard to believe that it was J.Lo in this movie, he?! She looked so different than she does now and looked so much like the real Selena, it's kind of scary.

This movie is pretty much a biography of the Tex-Mex singer Selena, who was murdered at age 24 by the manager of her fan-club. I personnaly had never heard of Selena when I first saw that movie, a couple of years ago. Not only did this movie made me know her and know her life story, but it also made me discover an excellent performer with a magnificent voice.

Everytime that movie is on TV, I watch it, I just can't help it. Seing J.Lo be Selena is just amazing, as she dance and acts exactly like her, according to the video we see at the end the movie featuring the real Selena. J.Lo did an incredible job, it's ridiculous now when you think she only got 1 million dollars for that role.

As for Selena, It's really too sad that she died before the whole got to see how talented she was. May her soul rest in peace.

Selena... forever

I just loved this true story of Selena, and how she became a famous star. But what's really sad is the tragical ending of her life. It's also pretty amazing how strong the family stood together, and how hard they all worked to become the persons that they were then. Selena wrote and sang alot of great songs herself (i.e. "Dreaming of you" and "I could fall inlove"), I just love those songs of her. She was a great singer, and to me, Selena will always be... forever!

Selena

I just wanted to say that it is too bad this talent had to end at such a young age. I think that Jennifer Lopez played her role very well. She was a great singer and would of made it big if not for this trajedy.

A TRUE STAR

Selena is a true star in the music buissness and to bad her singing carrer had to come to a end. Selena was tragically shot to death by a member in her fan club in 1995 just has she was getting bigger in the music industry. This film is great to watch on the life and carrer of Selena and how she was a beautiful person and had a great singing voice and that she loved her family very much. I recommend you to watch this film about a fantastic performer.

What A Film!

This is a great film to watch if you're a music fan. Selena died a tragic death because of someone in her fan club. Selena was a up and coming singer in the music biz because she had a wonderful voice. Selena could have been the next Madonna and this film shows how beautiful Selena really was. This a great film about Selena life.
