Dock Rock 4
Jamie O'Meara

Quiet Riot (Cum on Feel the Noize), Billy Idol (the frat-riff-ized Mony, Mony), T.Rex (Bang A Gong), Steve Earle (Copperhead Road), Boston (More Than a Feeling), Journey (Any Way You Want It), as well David Wilcox, Loverboy, Harlequin, Van Halen, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Santana and more. Just close your eyes and you're partying in the sun-baked bed of a pickup parked lakeside, just sayin' OV, in the summer of '84. Or sucking back Bud in any shitty university bar in Ontario today. I know what I'd choose.

Yes, this is the glorious follow-up compilation CD that you've been dying to get your hands on! From the greedy, unimaginative music execs that brought you Dock Rock, Dock Rock 2 and yes, Dock Rock 3 we've now got...Dock Rock 4.

Hey, I'm sorry but did anyone happen to tell the monkeys behind this series that all the good material was used on the *first* Dock Rock compilation? With each edition the series becomes more watered down by the increasing marginality of the choice cuts so really, why bother with 2, 3 or 4? I've got a much easier way for you all to hear thses tunes for free--TUNE ON YOUR RADIO! I swear, it doesn't matter if they call it 'the electric lunch hour' or 'the 80's hits' or even 'golden oldies' all of these songs can be heard on the radio because, let's face it, radio is anything but creative. Can't wait this till they scrape the bottom of the barrel for Dock Rock 5...that ought to be worth a good chuckle.

There's nothing like the oldies to bring you back in time along with all the memories. I especially love Santana from the above mentioned names and can't resist getting up on my feet and starting to dance whenever their music is played. I would buy this CD and unlike Josee, I prefer to have a nice mix of music and artists instead of playing each CD one at a time.

I don't see the point of buying this compilation. You can turn the radio on at any time and hear any of these songs. Go to any record store, go to a bargain bin and you can get all these indivual artists cd's for real cheap.
