Boys Noize - (Last Gang/Turbo)

Power
Jamie O'Meara

If you played Boys Noize - a.k.a. Berlin DJ Alexander Ridha - for someone who's never listened to music, chances are they'd flee if, at any point in the future, anyone offered to play them "music" again. The follow-up to the 2007 debut, Oi Oi Oi, the 12-track Power sounds like a German computer throwing up everything it's ever digested, if all it ever digested was gassy pop and malodorous cheese. This is an affront to anyone who's ever taken techno/electro music-making seriously, and a bad night waiting to happen for some poor, unsuspecting Berlin club kid.

yeah

here's another douchebag who's catching the tail end of the ed-banger-electro-douche party. talk about uninspired. i think it's safe to say that if you enjoy this record in any way, you're probably not a good person. or high on coke. or both. even the cover of this abortion is an atrocity. the only worthwhile thing about this record is that you can throw it on and use it to seduce dumb hipster skanks who are still stuck in 2007.
